About Us
We live in a rural location in Leicestershire, with our two spaniels, Jodie and Hollie:
We have both always loved travelling and enjoy being out and about, preferably off the beaten track, experiencing new places and cultures and meeting new people. Luckily we don't mind camping, extreme hot and cold, or rough travel conditions either!
We seem to have spent the last four years tipping time and cash down the black hole that is the Scarlet 4x4! We think, in the end, it was worthwhile though...? |
Mark
After a hellish desert crossing, the welcome rain and cold of Southern Kazakhstan
Mark was born in the Midlands, grew up in glorious Devon, but has returned to the middle bit where the work is.
A manufacturing engineer by background, Mark now consults on service improvement delivery across various business sectors.
Mark loves the outdoors and spends many hours tramping the fields and woods as either a gun or beater on his local shoots.
Although reasonably well travelled, the Scarlet 4x4 is Marks first Landrover, and has given him his first real experience of off-road driving, and running independent, vehicle dependant, expeditions.

Cheryl
Rocky pass, Mongolia
Cheryl was born in the West Country and grew up in Wiltshire.
After meeting Mark while travelling around Africa in 2001, Cheryl relocated to the Midlands where we currently live.
Cheryl now works for the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
Cheryl has set foot on every continent except Antarctica, but the Scarlet 4x4 is her first experience of wielding a spanner.
